I was extremely impressed from the first consultation. I was a little apprehensive and he put me completely at ease and explained everything thoroughly and considered my physical and emotional wellbeing through out the process. He has a very calm manner making you feel total confidence when explaining the risks of surgery. The actual surgery is a masterpiece with very little scarring. You are in very safe hands with the gentleman and extremely pleased he was my surgeon.

Report this reviewVery professional and caring. Is obviously very busy like all of the medical practitioners at Christie. Always listens and has supported my decisions. I do believe Professor Aziz is open to the patients wishes and does not push them into his preferred direction. His advice is sound and balanced. He supported my decision to go for contact radiotherapy. The Professor explained the risks but supported me in going down this path. I have not seen any areas for improvement. My care from the Professor has been excellent.

Report this reviewI was referred to Professor Aziz by another colleague. During my various consultations with him he inspired me with complete confidence at a time when I was in a very stressed state of mind. He was extremely thorough and his explanations were clear. Whilst in hospital after surgery, which went very well, he came to see me regularly to check on my progress.

Report this reviewI was first seen by Prof Omer Aziz as an NHS patient in March 2024. Since that first appointment I felt safe and decided to go ahead privately as the desmoid tumour was growing at a great speed. The care I received from the start form both Prof. Omer Aziz and his team at The Christie was exceptional. I can't thank them enough.

Report this reviewFrom my very first meeting with Prof. Aziz I felt very at ease and believed I was putting myself in the hands of a truly great surgeon. All procedures were explained in clear and concise lay man terms, which helped greatly when making decisions on my future options. I went into operating theatre with few nerves as Prof. Aziz had explained fully what would be happening. Obviously I remember nothing of the operation but the following morning Prof Aziz visited me offering more assurances that everything had gone well. As regards the result of the operation, I have been told by other medical professionals that my stoma bears all the hallmarks of an outstanding surgeon, for which I am truly grateful. Finally I think the way to give even greater care would be more after care once the patient has left hospital not particularly from Prof Aziz but other staff who you could raise issues, as at times you can feel very isolated, as I feel somewhat abandoned by the local stoma nurses. In conclusion I can only offer the highest praise of Prof Aziz and will always be grateful for the chance he has given me of an extended life.

Report this reviewI would unhesitatingly recommend Prof Aziz, especially in relation to specialist cancer surgery. His approach is clear but collaborative, involving me in the decision making process every step of the way. At no point have I felt unable to ask detailed questions or test propositions. Perhaps most importantly, I trust Prof Aziz's judgement.

Report this reviewI have complete trust in Professor Aziz and consider myself to be very fortunate to have been treated by such an exceptional committed person who, as well as being an incredible doctor, is one of the most courteous and caring medical professionals I have ever encountered. From the initial consultation, through my surgery and with regard to after care I have felt listened to, every query, anxiety answered. As my condition was unusual, I had a great many questions and never once did I feel hurried or that they were not relevant. On the day of my surgery Professor Aziz came to speak to me before I went to theatre and he was there when I came round many hours later to reassure me. He also took the trouble to telephone my husband who was beside himself with worry-we feel this was an wonderful thing to do. Since then my monitoring has been exemplary and frequent. I would also like to praise and thank Professor Aziz' team who have all helped me to cope with a challenging period of my life.
