Report this reviewI have been dealing with a perianal abscess and fistula for the past 2 years, during which I underwent 7 surgeries and had two Setons in place. Unfortunately, the abscess kept recurring despite these treatments. After enduring the pain from the abscess and the irritation caused by the Setons, I decided to research different surgeons, which is how I found Mrs. Craig, thanks to the reviews left by others. At my first consultation, Mrs. Craig explained that her approach would be different from what I had experienced before. She planned to remove the two Setons and replace them with a soft thread that I would need to floss twice daily. She took the time to thoroughly explain everything, answer all of our questions, and outline a clear plan of action for my case. In July, I had surgery for a laying open procedure and Seton replacement, after which I began the daily flossing routine. While the flossing was painful and uncomfortable at first, the discomfort started to lessen after a couple of weeks. There are a few items that helped make the process easier, like Instillagel (a numbing cream), olive oil, and Sitz baths. I'm really glad I decided to see Mrs. Craig because I'm now starting to feel much better. The abscess hasn't returned, as the Seton flossing helps with drainage. I believe that in a few more weeks, I’ll be fully cured. I had never heard of Seton flossing before, but this technique has proven to be effective for me. Her nurse, Tracey, has also been fantastic, and I’ve been seeing her weekly for any issues. Mrs. Craig has truly been a lifesaver for me.

Report this reviewIt took me a long time to seek medical help and I hit the jackpot when I was referred, at my request after reading about her skills, to Mrs Craig. After an initial consultation, where I was quickly put at ease, it was decided I should proceed with surgery to remove both internal and external haemorrhoids, a polyp and a skin tag. I can’t pretend that goofing through this procedure was easy but I was clearly told what to expect and well prepared. I cannot fault the care I’ve received at all stages. I was provided with all appropriate pre care, post care, medication and advice. (Note to anyone having a similar procedure, as well as taking those painkillers and stool softener/ laxative, invest in a sitz bath if you don’t have a bidet. A mixture of warm and cold ‘baths’ really helped with comfort and easing swelling.) Initial recovery was rather painful (pretty brutal in fact on day two/three) but Mrs Craig had been honest and prepared me so I wasn’t worried and coped well through following the advice. Whilst I’m still not quite healed, this operation significantly improved things for me physically and by removing my worries, and I have no regrets about the operation. I’d recommend anyone to trust in Mrs Craig.

Report this reviewI felt extremely reassured after my appointment, having been given various opinions previously by other medical staff re treatment required for a bowel problem, on the right way forward. Many thanks.

Report this reviewI am incredibly grateful to Mrs Craig for her sympathetic, open and honest approach in dealing with, what most of us would consider to be an embarrassing issue. As I am a woman of retirement age, I cannot stress enough how lovely Mrs Craig is to deal with. She will answer any concern or question. After three hemorrhoid banding procedures, I can now enjoy a much better quality of life. And she has helped me to overcome my anxiety about the future. I would strongly recommend seeing this fabulous lady if you have concerns.

Report this reviewMrs Christine Craig saved my life eleven years ago after local doctors missed/ignored "textbook symptoms. Fact. All these years later I needed her help again (after hitting the same brick walls of the locals) and met exactly the same down to earth genuinely caring person she was then. Mrs Craig listens intently, explains clearly, allays fears and builds confidence like only a highly skilled professional can; there's no ego here. Mrs Craig performed my colonoscopy thoroughly (unlike the locals even though I have a history of bowel cancer!) without drama and discussed her initial findings immediately afterwards, in person. This lady is everything one could wish for . I cannot recommend Mrs Christine Craig highly enough; she's a Diamond! Eternally grateful. Mrs C Waller and family.

Report this reviewMrs Craig changed my life for the better no question and no doubt. Her honesty, knowledge and professionalism put me at ease instantly and I trust her and her advice implicitly. I could not have been in safer hands which made my decision to have a Subtotal Colectomy in August 2022 an easy one. The surgery went well and the personal caring side of Mrs Craig straight after my surgery was truly heartwarming to myself personally and also to my husband. Unfortunately about 18 months later the disease had spread (something I was told could happen) but I had faith that Mrs Craig would know exactly what the best thing for me would be going forward. We decided to go ahead and have a Proctectomy which meant removing the anus and rectum and I can honestly say it’s the best decision I ever made ! The surgery went extremely well and I recovered quickly with no complications at all and once again the personal aftercare and advice from Mrs Craig was excellent. This woman thinks she’s just doing her job but she’s changing and saving lives everyday with care. I will forever be grateful and thankful to her. Truly an amazing person. Thank you.
